Project Scope:

This home started out as a modern property lacking in character, but the main selling point was the stunning view over the ocean. By installing six 3m high pivot doors, the entrance to the property and the access to the pool was opened up and turned into one continuous living space, creating a smooth flow around all areas of the home, from the entrance all the way to the pool.

After opening up the home so beautifully, we wanted to maintain a similar aesthetic for the interior. Painted timber slats sat on clear mirror forms the door fronts for the kitchen, the effect being that the kitchen disappears into the background. The same design detail was replicated on the media unit opposite the kitchen, incorporating layered timber and subtle lighting to enhance the elegance of the materials and design. Opulent materials and refined yet natural textures are found throughout the home, from textile wallcovering and fluted timber joinery to grass pendants and horn handles. Thus defining our dedication to “organic luxury” in our design approach.
