Project Scope:

The complete renovation of two hotels, totalling over 500 rooms and 10 communal areas including receptions, bars and restaurants to create a modern and bright hotel. In Hotel Del Mar there are nods to the nautical name and location such as rope wrapped columns and restaurant food service stations designed to look like beach huts, with pops of blue throughout the scheme. Equally the Hotel De Jardin features tones of green, with lots of planting as well as natural rattan and raffia textures linking to the luscious garden location. Camouflage netting is used to create texture in the restaurant areas and barrel tops line the walls to create a focal point in the tapas bar.

Accessibility was also a key focus in the design process, the 5m long reception desk was made at a certain height to accommodate wheelchair users and the accessible rooms were thoroughly considered to ensure that all guests had a comfortable and luxurious stay.
